Specialist' Workshop on Fast Pyrolysis of Biomass, October 19-22, 1980, held in Foxpine Inn, Cooper Mountain, Colorado, USA

The workshop was organized by James Diebold of the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) in Golden, Colorado. The Institute has been renamed later to National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). All 31 particpants were from the US; the only European participants were Jacques Lédé from Nancy, France, and Clas Ekström of the Royal Institue of Technoly (KTH), Sweden. Lédé contributed with a study proposing a cyclonic reactor for biomass fast pyrolysis. Ekström and co-author Erik Rensfelt reported the product distribution of wood powder in a drop tube reactor operated between 500 and 1000 oC.

The proceedings of this workshop can be found on the following website (accessed on 4th Jyly 2014).
